Hi, Everyone,
I just watched again a fabulous movie called Grease 2. This is the
first time for me to view it on DVD. I saw it in the theater the
first day of its release. I saw it on TV a few years later. I watched
it on VHS.
The DVD is wonderful, even though Paramount did not put any extra
goodies into it. The picture quality is excellent. It was made from a
print that must have never been shown in theaters or on TV.
I will watch it often and show it to others.
For those of you with DVD copies, I will ask you to look at what
happens at 1 hour 42 minutes and 19 seconds into the movie. That is
the luau scene. The motorcycle gang is riding through the set. Right
at that moment Adrian Zmed is speaking to Michelle Pfieffer. He
says, "Will you help me row, Stephanie?"
Right then a motorcycle rides off the steps of the outdoor pool. A
girl in the lower left of the picture appears to be pulled back by
her companion. It sure looks like the motorcycle will hit her. I
can't see if she was able to get out of the way. It looks like a real
accident.
If you are watching with friends and want to have some fun, when
scene 14 is on (Michael and Stephanie in the diner discussing
Shakespeare), say "Right!" each time you hear the word "right" spoken
in the scene. That was done by the group that did the lip sync at the
NuArt Theater in 2003.
Great songs, great movie.
