Merry Christmas, Everyone,
Almost 23 years ago I was working on Grease 2. We started a two week
job doing the bowling alley sequence on 12-28-1981.
What a beautiful memory to have of a wonderful group of talented
young people who were already professionals in their attitudes and
work ethic. They gave of themselves during the long overtime hours
that each day entailed. Leif, Michelle, Adrian, Maxwell, Chuck (he
danced in the right end alley as you face the pins), Matt (Lattanzi,
left end as you face the pins), Lorna and all the cast and Patricia
birch the director. There were many extras, including me. I was
upgraded to be the bowling alley manager. That was good for me
because my feet don't show on screen and you won't see my dancing
errors.
There was a lady there who was one of the dancing extras who was
perhaps 70. There were guys as young as 18. If ever a movie family
existed, it was there in that real bowling alley during our two weeks
of shooting.
No person there was recognized on the street at that time. Lorna Luft
was the most famous, and she was very nice and easy to work with and
talk to.
So Merry Christmas to all,
With nary a kink,
Blue skies and smiles,
And a Christmas that's pink
