My name is Christi and I work for the ashland independent film festival.  I’m not a filmmaker, so I can’t offer to be a mentor for your son and his friends, but I just wanted to let you (and the rest of the sofat group) know about our FREE regional student filmmaker competition called the Launch.  The deadline for submission for the 2007 festival is January 5^th, and winners from each age category will have their films screened at the festival.  You can see more details about the specifics of the competition, and get an entry form on our website at www.ashlandfilm.org, or just Click here and it’ll take you straight to the page about the Launch with pdf links of the entry form and other information.
