Its been awhile since we last met and we're long overdue, and no better time than the present. So I have arranged the following:

John Foote at Land Mind is graciously providing drinks and snacks.
I would like for the group to discuss a range of topics including but not limited to:
Immediate
• introductions of members old and new
• briefing on recent, current and upcoming projects
• State of the Region in general in regards to film and media
Short Term
• increasing membership
• how to get more involved
Long Term
• increasing our profile locally, statewide, and nationally
• creating a website, shareable contact list, possible handbook
I've attached a PDF of the article that I wrote for the Oregon Film magazine which appeared this spring. We should be able to do more along those lines to help build momentum (if only we had some members connected with TV and printed news... hint hint).
A lot has been happening locally. We've got new equipment in the valley, new residents with film industry backgrounds, and new projects on the horizon. A strong connected network will benefit all of us, and no one believes more in our collective potential than I do. I hope to see all of you there. RSVP if you can so Land Mind knows how many heads to provide for.
