ran a cassette of R25N through the camera yesterday, and it went
through faultlessly, flashing up a warning several feet before the
end,
then flashing a final warning at the end of the film

however, i find the new filmstocks sometimes jam, usually during
windback (multiple exposure / lap dissolve) reason unknown. thought
it
was the cassette design but it might be the thickness of the new film
and/or the different characteristics of the new filmstock over the
old
Fujichrome anti-halation material, which provided a smoother run for
the film through the cassette?

any opinions on this please?

all things considered, i will continue to experiment with Single 8,
whilst still using Super 8
