The images are blurry and grainy, like a dream, dense with a meaning
just beyond the mind's reach. The reels are out of order and I am not
always sure what I am looking at as I search for answers in home
movies taken 45 years ago. My father had transferred the films to
videotape before he died. They show a series of cruises through the
Caribbean I took with my parents and younger brother on our sailboat.
