Have you ever wanted to be a part of an award winning team of people involved in
film?
We need help with a specific project. We need people in front of the camera.
We need below the line help. We also need additional cameras and equipment for
additional shoots.
This project will open a lot of eyes and there are celebrities involved in front
of the camera.
The working title of the film is:
Peace and Pot
A Quest for the Perfect High
We follow one man's pursuit for the perfect high, whether it be through
"conventional" or "spiritual" means and experiencing what he discovers and who
he meets along the way.
"controversial", "timely", "socially irreverent", "mind blowing"
We need people who want to be in front of the camera. What is your perfect
high? How do you achieve it?
We also need help behind the camera. It does not matter if you have experience
or not. We need enthusiast and responsible people. You should expect a long
term commitment and you can expect to rise to the level of your interest,
availability and desire to help.
If you would like to get screen credit on this project and the possibility of
making money on the next film you do for us, then sign up.
We will contact you after you sign up. You will be invited to join us after an
"interview" process. Do not show up for this schedule Meetup. The help we
need varies but if you want a chance to be a part of a project that has meaning,
then sign up.
If we decide to work together, expect to be part of a team effort that has the
intention of changing the world and how it views pot, spirituality and getting
high.
The SF Filmmaking Team
Still Interested? Read on...
Thanks for your interest in working on our film.
Again, you don't have to have experience. Just a desire to work on a film that
will make a difference. We will train you.
Filmmaking for us is a dedicated life passion. We want you to feel the same if
you are going to work with us. That does not mean that you are at it everyday.
We go in spurts. We have other lives as well. But when we go, we go fast and
you have to be ready. This has to be a priority in your life. Otherwise, it
doesn't work.
My name is Ed and my job is to build our next team. We have a great number of
shoots planned so there is plenty of hard work for everyone who wants to be
involved. Research, planning, shooting, editing, publicity, additional fund
raising, etc.
We shoot mainly in the Bay Area to keep costs down but have traveled out of town
if the story takes us there. Our film falls in the category of a docudrama.
You could compare it to a Michael Moore film. We deal with a social phenomenon
that everyone can relate to.
We interview experts, celebrities, social justice advocates and many others that
have knowledge of our topic. We put it together with historical footage and
music and narrative. We have about 200 hours of filming planned.
We are looking for dedicated individuals that want to be part of the film
process. You want to make a difference. Film has that capability. We have a
story to follow. We have a story to tell.
If this interests you, we would like to talk to you. We go through a "hiring"
process like any successful endeavor. The first thing we look at is
communication. You have to be able to communicate. This we cannot teach.
Communication by email, texting, by phone, in person. You have to be reliable.
If I don't hear from you I'll assume you are not interested. I don't have the
time to chase people down.
Our first form of communication is email. Please respond to edshiang@...
by email to the following questions.
1) Send us some kind of resume…it doesn't have to be formal…we just want to
know what you have been doing professionally..
2) How would you like to contribute to this film. Any answer is ok, we just
need to know who to call when a need arises.
3) Tell us why you want to work in film.
