Project Notes

All performers will need to be available all day July 19th & 20th. We are looking for performers with theater, film and/or improv experience (the festival allows for SAG actors - special waiver). All writing, production and editing will be completed within the 48 hour period, so performers may be asked to improv certain aspects, but be prepared to receive the script Sat. morning with an impromptu table read immediately following. Due to the fact that this production will premiere at a local theater, all performers and personnel will be eligible for entry on IMDB.

We are currently locking down locations, but this will be shot in and around the SF Bay Area. Wardrobe will be self-provided, though we will have a make-up person on hand.

Project Synopsis

From their website: The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and a team make a movie—write, shoot, edit and score it—in just 48 hours. On Friday night, you get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in your movie. 48 hours later, the movie must be complete. Then it will screen at a local theater, usually the following week. In 2007, some 30,000 filmmakers made films in 55 cities around the world. This year, we're even bigger, with filmmakers in over 70 cities taking the challenge to make a film in just 48 hours.   

Company Info

Emerging Artist Productions is a Bay Area production company with many short films, a feature documentary and two 48 Hr Film Projects under our belt (including wins for Best Cinematography and Best Original Score).  We are currently in pre-production for the feature film A Forgotten Innocence expected to lens by second quarter 2009 in the Bay Area.  Bernard Fok - Producer, Sinohui Hinojosa - Exec Producer/Director.
