Hi. I think "The Thrill of It All" was one of her best comedies. With the sucess of "Pillow Talk," she seemed to enter a new turn for her career, with the "sexy" ,polished, lavish comedies films. This was one of the better ones. I think she had great chemistry with James Gardner. the co stars were very adpat at comedy, too, with the older lady pregnant subplot . I didn't care for the little girl who played the daughter, I thought she said her lines too loud and too shrill, not natural. Doris looked georgous and beautiful. She is so good with her comic technique and timing, and played so well off James Garnder. I think is was a big hit when it came out. I am disappointed that she did not sing or record a title song. She did with others in this period, like "Do Not Disburb", " "Lover Come Back," "Glass Bottom Boat," even recorded one for "Caprice," When the Golden Globes honored her, when she sat at the table down front, when
they were showing clips from her movies, she seemed to not look, until the two films with James Garner were highlighed, she obviously was pleased then.
