Senta Berger, born 13 May 1941 in Vienna, has made a notable success of her life. Widely respected and enormously popular, star and co-producer of many German speaking television programs, she lives today in Munich with her husband of nearly forty years, politically active as a Social Democrat, campaigning for disarmament and for protecting the environment.

She has been a member of the jury at the Berlin International Film Festival on more than one accasion and since February 2003 she has been president of the German Film Academy.

She may or may not still measure 38-26-36 but her beauty and grace make such considerations irrelevant.
