The Kaadhal girl is on a roll. She has just singed up as the first heroine of White Elephant, a production banner jointly floated six months ago by Selvaraghavan, Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematographer Arvind Krishna.

Selva will be directing the triumvirate¢s first film which is so far untitled. Sandhya plays a modern girl in a film set in the corporate world.

She has also been approached by Telugu star Mohan Babu for casting her in his home production, while Puneet Raj Kumar has also narrated a Kannada story to the bubbly actor.

While she is pondering on the last two, she has okayed the Selva film, the photo shoot of which is scheduled for October 19.

Shooting is expected to commence on November 15 and Selva wants to finish the film in three months¢ time, which will be a record not only for the industry, but for the director as well, since he is known to ¡craft¢ his films like an artiste, re-shooting until he is thoroughly satisfied.

Dhanush was originally sounded out for the hero¢s role, say industry sources.

However, since he is busy with Parattai Ennum Azhagu Sundaram and committed to another untitled film by Vetri Maran (assistant of Balu Mahendra), Karthi, Suriya¢s brother was approached.

It will be a different role for Karthi, since he is playing a ¡native¢ role in director Ameer¢s yet-to-release Paruthi Veeran.

SJ Suryah was also in the running, but since his Vyabhari is yet to be completed, the actor-director was unable to give dates.

Interestingly, Selva, who is currently shooting the Telugu film Aadavaru Matalaki in Hyderabad, is scheduled to get married on December 15.

However, sources close to him reveal that the director is clear that his professional and personal lives will run parallel to each other and he is confident of doing justice to both.
