featurette of our last film
at _http://www.deadgentlemenpresents.com/archive/episode-06-kick-off/_
(http://www.deadgentlemenpresents.com/archive/episode-06-kick-off/) ) is a film
company located in Tacoma, WA. Following the tradition of Monty Python, DGP
prides itself on creating low budget films that are entertaining, funny, and
creative. Credits Include: THE GAMERS:DORKNESS RISING, DEAD CAMPER LAKE, and
REVAMPING DOYLE.

We are currently in the midst of pre-production for our new comedic short,
DEMON HUNTERS R.P.G. BROTHERHOOD ORIENTATION VIDEO (DHOV). This short will be
distributed nationally and we are seeking qualified individuals for a
rigorous and rewarding production experience. Positions, Requirements,
compensation, and application procedure information is below.

POSITIONS: We are current seeking participants for the following positions...

1) Production Coordinator/Office Manager: The Production Coordinator is the
information nexus of the production and is responsible for organizing all the
logistics between departments. The PC is an integral part of film
production.
2) UPM: The production manager supervises the physical aspects of the
production (not the creative aspects) including personnel, technology, budget,
and
scheduling. It is the production manager's responsibility to make sure the
filming stays on schedule and within its budget. The PM also helps manage the
day-to-day budget by managing operating costs such as production costs, and
everyday equipment rental costs.
3) Grips: Grips are trained lighting and rigging technicians. The main
responsibilities of a grip are to work closely with the electrical department
to
put in the lighting set-ups necessary for a shot.

4) Electricians: Electricians are responsible to the gaffer (i.e. the chief
electrician who is responsible to the DP for safe and efficient execution of
the lighting patterns outlined by the DP) and the best boy electric for
rigging and operating lighting and electrical equipment.
5) Sound Mixer: The production sound mixer is head of the sound department
on set, responsible for recording all sound during filming. This involves the
choice and deployment of microphones, operation of a sound recording device,
and sometimes the mixing of audio signals in real time.
6) Boom Op: The boom operator is an assistant to the production sound mixer,
responsible for microphone placement and movement during filming. The boom
operator uses a boom pole, a long, special piece of equipment made from light
aluminum or carbon fiber, that allows precise positioning of the microphone
above or below the actors, just out of the camera's frame
7) Hair and/or Makeup Specialists: Make-up artists are beauticians that
apply makeup to anyone appearing on screen. They concentrate on the area above
the chest, the face, the top of the head, the fingers, hands, arms, and
elbows. Their role is to manipulate an actors on screen appearance whether it
makes
them look more youthful, larger, older, or in some cases monstrous. The hair
stylist is responsible for maintaining and styling the hair of anyone
appearing on screen. He works in conjunction with the makeup artist.
8) Caterer/Craft Service Person: The craft service person is responsible for
providing between-meal snacks and beverages for the cast and crew during
production. This person also assists in maintaining the tidiness of the area
surrounding the set.
9) Art Department Assistants: Assist the production designer and set
decorator (who is amazing!) decorate the film set as well as finding and
managing
all props that appear in the film.
10) PAs (various departments): Perform miscellaneous duties for all
departments as needed/assigned. PA's will have an opportunity to work with
individuals at all levels of the company and be asked to take on an active role
as
part of the creative team.
