Dear All,
Scarecrow Video and The Seattle Art Museum are proud to present three events
featuring legendary editor Thelma Schoonmaker! Ms. Schoonmaker is the
editing powerhouse behind one of America’s greatest filmmakers, Martin
Scorsese.
Winner of the 1980 Academy Award for film editing for RAGING BULL, Ms.
Schoonmaker has also demonstrated her talents on such classic films as
GOODFELLAS,
CAPE FEAR, KINGS OF COMEDY, THE AGE OF INNOCENCE, WOODSTOCK, CASINO, and GRACE
OF MY HEART. This year, she has once again been nominated for an Acadamy
Award for film editing in light of her fantastic work on THE AVIATOR.
This is the first (and possibly only) appearance Ms. Schoonmaker will make
in our area. If you love film and would like an opportunity to learn from a
legendary master, I urge you to attend these special events.
Yours,
Tish
