Re: [scriptologist_dot_com] Screenplay Evaluation Service

You cannot protect your idea. You can protect your expression of an idea. That is why you can register or copyright your script but not your log line. And why so few infringement lawsuits succeed. "Idea theft" isn't a crime; it is a paranoia of new writers.

Les,
The best way people can protect themselves from idea theft is to have their screenplays copyrighted and registered with the WGA.

And tell me, How does one protect themselves from Idea theft....When one submits his screenplay over to your service? Is there a customary copy infringment agreement that is signed beforehand?? ......Just a question

The Script Alchemist knows all too well the typical price for a feature screenplay analysis (upwards of $300) is a price that many writers/filmmakers simply cannot afford.
We offer quality creative analysis for budding screenwriters, independent, low-budget filmmakers and industry pros alike.
Our readers have enjoyed years of practice in film development and pre-production and possess a strong understanding of, not only the business of screenwriting, but what it takes to get your work polished, sold, and produced.
