Re: [Screenwriting Structure] Formatting text

AJ,

I would put it in the action statement.

eg.

INT: BUSINESS PARTY--NIGHT
Bill inconspicuously read the name Samantha on her name tag.

BILL

Samantha, right?

Hope this helps

Ronnie

When I want a piece of text to be seen on the screen, how do I emphasize it?
It won't fill the screen, so I don\t want to use INSERT. The text is someone's
name tag.

Thanks.

Andrew

The sneaky way to direct the director is to write what the shot would see. So just write. He looks at her name tag. "Samantha" The director figures out CLOSE...
