The New York Film Critics Circle, which when I first seriously started
following film as a pre-teen (circa 1972) was at least as prestigious
as the Oscars, has named JULIE CHRISTIE Best Actress for AWAY FROM HER,
and awarded Sarah Polley for BEST FIRST FILM!!!
