Good question. I checked Rotten Tomatoes and a couple other sites
and everybody's asking the same thing. Maybe Miss Polley just wanted
the spotlight to be justifiably on Julie Christie and her fine
performance. Unfortunatly this doesn't seem to be the type of
commercial vehicle that lends itself to reissues. Like if it were
Spiderman 3 you would only have to wait a couple of months for the
special 2-disc blah, blah, blah... with her commentary. Looks like
we might have to satisfy ourselves with her brief commentary on the
deleted scenes. I look forward to hearing Julie Christie.
Here are 3 interesting facts I found out while looking up this
question:
1) Internet movie data base.com has no contact with filmmakers but
rather harvests it's info from psychic beings that live submerged in
water a la Minority Report. They can not only tell every movie an
actor has been in but even projects a filmmaker is merely THINKING of
doing.
2) If you lick someone with red hair and freckles they taste like
cinnamon. It's a scientific fact.
3) Jodie Foster is the owner and CEO of Foster's beer. The whole
Australian angle is just a marketing tool like how Hagen Daiis ice
cream is really made in New Jersey. Look it up.
