Why hasn't Sarah been in a Jim Jarmusch film?   Message List

Now that Scorcese's a hack (and all his lobbying paid off with an
Oscar he should have won a generation ago), I guess the
best "American" (below the 49th parallel) director is Jim Jarmusch.
Why hasn't Sarah been in one of his films.

I was rewatchng one of his masterpieces, DEADMAN (1995), and relished
the scene with the fat version of Billy Bob Thornton (pre-Angelina
Jolie daze) as Big George, chewing the fat in a campfire scene with
Iggy Pop as Sally, with the legendary Igster dressed in a bonnet and
gingham dress. Here's some of the priceless dialog:

Big George: Well Sally, I don't give a pig's ass what anybody says, I
still say you make a hell of a pot of beans.

Gary Farmer, the First Nations actor who hails from Ontario and
appears in Canadian TV mostly these days, is excellent as
the "Indian" who prefers to be known as "Nobody" and Johnny Depp
gives one of his terrific, understated performances.

Rating: **** (4 stars)
