I am quite new here. I think Sanada is the best actor and everything
else and it was great to see the message from him to his fans (us).
It seems that this is quite a quiet group at the moment but I would
love to chat to other fans, anyone interested?

Thank you Misty. Thank you all of the fans.
Let's sing birthday song one country by one country, one city by one
city. Let's make Sanada-san happy all the day.

Sseems like no one really drops by here much anymore --- BUT----
for anyone who does bother to check in I have the most wonderful news.
Hiro replied to the lovely collection of birthday wishes that the
group from HSE and SHIN put together.
Please visit Misty's HSE site to see what was delivered to him AND to
see what Hiro sent back!!!

This is really a big deal because he just never responds to fan
contact.
Our good friend Misty colleted around 80 birthday messages and another fan in California used her connections with Hiro's management agency to ensure that the messages are personally delivered to him!

Its hard to believe another year has passed and Hiro's birthday fast
approaches (October 12th for anyone who doesn't already know).
Misty is collecting messages from fans. Here's the link to her HSE

I pulled this from another Hiro site. One very lucky
Japanese fan shares her experiece before the premiere. Its so cute
with little drawings and even a shot of the photo Hiro autographed for
her.
Thanks for sharing!

Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan (53) joined local actor Sanada
Hiroyuki (46) on the red carpet for yesterday's Japan premiere
of "Rush Hour 3". Several hundred fans turned at for the event, held
at the Roppongi Hills complex in central Tokyo. Though the pair have
been friends for some 20 years, it's the first time for them to work
together. Sanada has been building up a presence in Hollywood
features in the last couple of years and is becoming more of a box
office draw. He and Chan met up at the Shanghai International Film
Festival last year and decided to do something together. "I'd like
to work with Takakura Ken, with Kitano Takeshi," said Chan. "I never
had a chance to work with Kurosawa Akira. So now when I want to work
with someone, I do it right away." He had hoped to get Sanada on
board for a new movie to be shot in Tokyo in October (provisionally
titled "Shinjuku Jiken") but was turned down due to a busy
schedule. "Rush Hour 3" opens here on August 25.

This is a fantastic interview. Hiro talks about RH3, Speed Racer, and
City of Your Final Destination. He even breaks out into a song from
one of his stage performances - OMG its such fun!
(the people who interviewed him didn't really "do their homework" -
they didn't know enough about his past performances and martial arts
skills - at least that's my opinion)

I found the most wonderful film clip today on Misty's site.
Its from Access Hollywood.
Watch closely and you will see Hiro a couple of times - once as he
arrives and again talking with Tom Cruise.
You will also see he has a date - lucky girl.
And, to top that off, Misty wrote a GREAT article/interview with Hiro.
Catch it all here: http://hogacentral.blogs.com/hiroyuki_sanada_news/
New and imporved trailers are posted all over the next. I won't even
bother to try listing all of them. Just "surf" around!
More action scenes with Hiro than the first trailer. But we don't get
to hear hime say ----- "Leave Paris tonight!"
FYI, Hiro and Jackie will be in Japan 8/5/07 for the premiere.

Well, me, for one. *claps hands*

Its official - Hiro will have a small role in the film Speed Racer.
There's lots of great info on the film and a clip from the press
conference on Misty's site.

BTW, if some of you were members or frequent guests at the SHIN forum,
you may have noticed BIG problems lately. Well, after much hard work,
Jaime has solved the hosting issues and re-done the site.

group member 'sakelvr' has shown an interest in taking over the group,
so i've promoted her to group co-owner so she can get a feel for
things and experiment with her new 'superpowers' and see if she likes
them, lol.
thanks, sakelvr!

Thanks, Misty - yeah, I had the best of intentions, honest, but 'real life'
kind of got in the way. Thanks for all the links!

Hi Sharon, welcome to the group. I totally agree with you concerning Hiro,....he is HOT!! I'm sad to hear that this group is about to close if no one takes it over Well it's nice to see that Hiro has so many fans here in the states. Welcome again.
Peace

Hi;
Just joined this group. Want to keep track so Hiroyuki Sanada's work. He has a powerful presence; and he's hot!
It's good to see him doing more work in the states. We get to see more of him on the big screen.
Lyn,
OH NO! It is so sad to see this group go, but I understand... It is
very hard to keep up such type of work on the Net. You have your own
life and it takes a lot of effort to squeeze out the time to do the
web work. I know it too well from my own activity on HSE and HSN.
Now I do most of my updates on blog format, which is much easier than
website or group.
If you may, I would like to let members know some alternative ways to
keep up with Hiro's recent activities and with other Hiro fans.
I run a Website and a blog about Hiroyuki Sanada.

"HSN" is a sub-section of HSE, which keep tracks of his recent works
and appearances, and you can also leave your message on my post.
Jamie also re-starting her site and forum, after the recent crash of

Lyn, thank you very much for your work in the past years!! And hope
you can drop by to any of these sites whenever you feel like!
...and goodbye.
Obviously, I've been unable to put the required effort into managing
this group for some time now, so unless someone else here wants to
step up and take over as group owner I'll be deleting the group
entirely. I'll give it a couple of weeks at least to see if anyone
else wants to take over. Please email me directly at
sanada_fans-owner@yahoogroups.com
if you are interested in being promoted to group owner in order to
keep the group up and running. If someone wants to do that, of course
I'll leave all the group files and photos as is. If the group is
deleted, a number of the photos have larger versions available here

so if you want access to those pics, please bookmark that page now.

Hey guys,
I purchased "The White Countess" and was pleasantly surprised at Hiro's
performance. I actually felt myself anticipating his scenes. He played
a very in depth character with darkness and yet such charm that I was
lost (in a good way) in his scenes. Good job Hiro, you were awesome!!!!
Peace
Val
Thanks for the welcome and I will check out your news section. I'm glad that someone is keeping us informed on Hiroyuki. I can't wait to see "The White Countess" and "Sunshine."
Thanks again,
Val

Hi, Val!
It is true that everyone here is awfully quiet these days... but anyway, Welcome to Hiro Craze world!!
I have moved my news section of my site (Hiroyuki Sanada

His new film SUNSHINE is opening in UK + some other places this week, and in Japan next week. Sanada-san is in Japan now to promote the film, so there is so much media exposure over there. I post the stuff that we can see online, so come by and enjoy!

No kidding,....I had a Hiroyuki marathon going! LOL I watched:
Aegis
Last Samurai
The Promise
Legend of the 8 Samurai
Shogun's Ninja
Twilight Samurai
Ninja in the Dragon's Den
I can't wait to get my hands on "The White Countess" and "Rush Hour." I
know it hasn't come out in the movies yet but I'll be first in line to
get it!!! OMG I LOVE that man!!! LOL
Peace
Val
I've been a Hiroyuki Sanada fan since the early 80's. His acting,
martial arts, singing and dancing is just amazing. I simply love him!!
I'm so happy for all the work he's been getting. I wish him the best
that life has to offer.
Peace
Val
Hi Lyn,
I have to say that I love Hiroyuki's beard and mustache too!! He's so
darn sexy and rugged looking with it AND I LIKE IT!!
As for my favorite film, I love "8 Samurai", "Ringu", "The
Promise", "Last Samurai", I actually love all of the ones I've seen.
He was so cute in the old Sonny Chiba films. I actually fell head
over hills for him when I saw "Shoguns Ninja" and heard him
sing,...aahhh. lol I can't wait to see "White Countess",
The "Sunshine (sp?) movie and "Rush Hour3". I like Jackie Chan and
Chris Tucker (who I've met), but I will be cheering for Hiroyuki!!!
Peace
Val

You guys have been very quite here. There's so much news out there
about Hiro's current projects (City of Your Final Destination and Rush
Hour 3). Also, there is some new video on the offical Sunshine movie
site (www.sunshinedna.com) showing Hiro and other actors experiencing
zero gravity.
