Well,

Of all things I knew I'd be doing in life, writing a letter to the Dana plato
memorial group the LAST thing that comes to mind. I am sorry to say that I was
completely in the dark about what happened until yesterday.

I am a 23 year old full time musician from Phila... I grew up watching that
show and Dana was one of my first impressions of what females were all about in
my young boyhood years. Of course I had a crush on her too.. I have my days
off and I keep the TV on while i work during the day... yesterday DS was on TNN
and I remember thinking "wow, that Dana Plato was a real cute girl, I heard she
had some troubles, I wonder what the story is these days" well a few mouse
clicks and my heart sank. I read through many websites, interviews and
memoribilia and it is all quite disturbing to say the least. I listened to that
Howard Stern interview and I almost cried.

I have a simple question: If Dana Plato was a drug user, why the hell did she
try to hide it?! Apparently the huge controversy was her "drug abuse". That
whole interview was just a big defense... and she spoke of "defending her
charactor"... it was strange to think that the whole reason people were breaking
her stones was because she used drugs (or supposedly did). I am sure and
unfortunatly she wasn't sure that there are many many people who would look at
her in no different way if she used drugs or was a straight shooter. I know it
really wouldn't have mattered to me.

Another question I have for the group is about the rumours I've seen implying
her death was not a suicide.... the whole 9 yards with the CD for sale, the
book.... hell I'm suprised the lunchbox wasn't on sale over the net... how about
that strange website "mikehuntsonfire.com"???? thats confusing.... if anyone can
fill me in on what all that was about please feel free to toss me an email....
