Rebecca Gibney was born on December 14th 1964 in Levin, New Zealand.

Before she became an actress she also did some modelling (which is no surprise because she's really beautiful!:))

She broke through with her role in the children's program "The Zoo Family". Later on the auditioned for the role of Emma in "The Flying Doctors" which was a part she really wanted to get and got it immediately.

In 1992 she married a singer Jack Jones but they divorced six years later. She's now married to Richard Bell, a production designer.

She has produced and starred in many TV series - Kangaroo's Palace, The Flying Doctors, The Day of the Roses, Error 2000.

She's probrbly most famous for her role as dr.Jane Halifax in "Halifax f.p." which was a role written especially for her. The series is still shown worldwide.

Rebecca Gibney has won many awards and is one of Australia's most appreciated actresses.

Rebecca gave birth to little Zachary Edison Bell on 7th April 2004! Congratulations!!
