Having problems with message search?
Did Matt ever see the eye design? Did he have any comments? Just
curious.
To me, they look similar to some of the R5 eye details. Or astromech
shoulder buttons. I was actually thinking of testing out how shoulder buttons
looked. I could tap a couple extra holes in them for screws and drill through
the center for a purple LED.

I found some PVC fittings and angled the backside to the shape of
the dome. I'm going to install purple UV lights behind them. I
talked to Matt Busch and he explained that the R7 had some sort of 'mechanism'
to short out nearby astromechs, so I kinda made these into that device!
No other reference info as to what they are!
I still have to cut out for the front and rear logics on the right
hand side of the dome.
