I live in So. Orange Co. and need to now be up in LA during the week. So I am looking for a room; furnished or unfurnished, shared bath ok, non smoking, no cats environment in a house or apartment for probably only 3 nights a week. I can pay about $400 a month or a little more. Hoping you great people know of someone who maybe has an extra room but doesn't really want a full time roommate but would like some extra cash. I am a very responsible and super clean woman.
Featuring New York's talented and emerging Actors and Writers for stage and screen, Directing Actors TV is an episodic scene series workshop at the National Comedy Theatre in Midtown Manhattan. Each event is videotaped in front of a live audience of casting Agents, Producers, Directors, Writers and Actors--then broadcast on Facebook and YouTube and distributed virally via user-generated content platforms and video aggregators by Converciné Communications.

More may be added to the list as I'm still waiting to hear back from a few
festivals. I'm especially excited to announce these showings because the
competition was tough! Many of the festivals said that they had a
record-breaking number of entries this year. The Chicago festival had over 900
submissions.
After its festival run, I will put Tooth Fairy on YouTube for those of you who
want to see it.
The logline is: In the heart of suburbia, a little boy sets a trap for the Tooth
Fairy and discovers that even innocence has a dark side.
It stars Joseph Schirle (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2850834/), a very talented
8-year old. Tooth Fairy was his first gig and it was hilarious to hear him say,
"Finally, something to put on my resume!"

Despite the no pay/share equally approach, there is no way around needing a work-for-hire agreement with your partner. Typically it will be separate from any other agreement you sign with him/her. Your partner is actually an independent contractor (as opposed to an employee) It gets a bit complicated. You can read this: http://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ09.pdf but you should definitely get professional legal advice. If you're in NYC, a good (cheap) place to start is the VLA at http://vlany.org If not, their site has links to similar organizations around the country.
Good luck,
Ian

Please pardon me if this is off topic.
I'm going to be bringing a partner on to help with a script.
I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on finding agreements that we can look at, to protect both of ourselves.
I'm also going to stipulate that I own the copyright, even though we share the credit. I believe this will make selling or producing the script easier. Although this is un paid for both of us, we would split revenues (if any.)
If anyone has any thoughts or experiences in this area they would like to share, I would appreciate it.

I have 2 co-writing agreemmts.
1. Pre-Collaboration Agreement
2. Co-Writers Agreement
The Pre-Collaboration Agreement is a formal contract where the two writers agree
to work together on a script.
The Co-writers Agreement is a formal contract that sets out the duties and rules
each other will abide by during and after the collaboration.
Remmber, both own the copyright of the work EQUALLY. Though it is set out for a
more experienced writer working with a less experienced writer, they are no less
than equal parners in the project.
To keep with the budgetting theme of this group, the WGA has basic payments to
adhere to for a co-writing team.

I’ve no copies of agreements, but I do say you are at least dealing with this correctly in getting it all on paper.
Make sure you are both happy with the arrangement going in. These type of deals ruin friendships faster than just about anything.
No doubt, there is a low cost attorney option to get some paperwork drawn up, or make it yourself and get it notarized together in the presence of a bonded notary.
Good luck,
David

Would you like your movie poster seen in a Verizon "video on demand" help video?
This is a no money exchanged situation. A friend of mine does freelance producing/editing for Verizon corporate in New York. They are revising the "how to use VOD" help video. My friend asked me if independent producers would care to donate their key artwork for inclusion.
There is NO quid pro quo for getting your films on their service. This is simply a way for independents to have their artwork seen and generate some interest in their films. If you have artwork you'd like to have considered please send an e-mail to Scott at his address: scottelong@mac. com

Norm, through this forum, his Budgeting forum and his website, www.reelgrok.com

Yes, I am a fan, if you want to call it that. He and I speak from time to time.
He has proven both knowledgeable, polite and always helpful. So if you can, get
