It's my belief (although it's not addressed specifically in the movie) that
Fezzik filled him in on the goings on in Florin while he was nursing Inigo
back to health in the THEIVES forest (in addition to the mentioned death of
Vizzini & finding of the 6-fingered man). He'd been working for the castle
as a member of the Brute Squad, surely he must be in on the local gossip,
particularly as the Brute Squad was formed as a result of the kidnapping.
Plus, I seem to remember there being something in the book about Fezzik
thinking she was so pretty & smelled so nice that he thought it would be
nice to be there for her wedding, so he had motivation to hover in the
vicinity.
Feel free to quibble with any of this.

I have a question, let me explain.... no, there is too much... let me
sum-up!
Westley meets up first with Inigo (the spaniard) and bests him in a sword
fight.
He then meets Fezzik (the giant) and bests him in a hand-to-hand fight.
Finally, he defeats Vizzini through his immunity to iocane powder.
At this point, he flees with Buttercup, and ONLY THEN is it revealed that he
is her true lost love, and NOT the Dread Pirate Roberts.
Later, when Prince Humperdinck orders the Thebes forest cleared, Fezzik and
Inigo meet up again. At the same time, Humperdinck kills Westley in the pit
of dispair, and Westley cries out in pain.
At this point, Inigo hears his cry and says only a man whose true love is
due to marry another could cry out with such pain.
Here is my question... how does Inigo or Fezzik know that Westley and
Buttercup were in love, they were both gone when this was revealed?
