Hey gang,

so anyway, I'm watching TPB a few weeks back. There were some people
over with my girlfriend and I guess they decided they were going to
watch the movie too. Which was fine, the more the...

So these two start laughing at EVERYTHING maliciously. Which was fine
for a while, until it started to dawn on me that perhaps they
didn't "get it" and were taking the movie seriously. So I quizzed
them on it a little bit, and I guess they were dimissing it as 80's
overcheese. I'm like "Yeah, but you know that this IS satire, right?".

Well their opinions were already etched and I guess I wasn't
passionate enough at the time to set 'em straight. Oh to be younger
and defensive like them again.

Anyhoo, these are the same people who take Mel Brooks films
seriously.. so..

I thought I'd share that. Anyone else ever run into this?
