Re: Apes sights and sounds

Sorry Tim. I've been posting to this thread for so long that I just presume
everyone knows what I'm referring to. It's Mission: Impossible, currently
running on the American Life TV Network.

Federal Agent, Gregory Sierra as a big time narcotics dealer who- even with a
minor role- had more lines with his second sentence than he did in the entirety
of BENEATH, and Ron Pinkard ("Get me the Indonesia file from last month.") as an
assistant director. I finally figured out where else I recognized him from- he
was one of the supporting characters (Dr. Mike Morton) in Emergency. In the same
episode ("Movie") that Pinkard was in,William Smith also starred as a character
named John Brent (according to the IMDB and TV.com anyway). I don't recall him
ever being referred to by name in the episode, but that seems a strange
coincidence. It was shown in November 1972, so I suppose it's possible it was a
deliberate in joke.

In case anyone is interested, an episode featuring Roddy as the heavy is on
tonight at 11 PM EST, and one featuring Kim in the lead is on this coming Friday
(July 10th) also at 11 PM EST. William Windom will also be in an episode
Saturday July 11th at 4:30 PM (which also repeats at midnight).

It's also worth mentioning the amount of faces associated with 70's pop culture
that have shown up recently: William Shatner, John Vernon (voice of both Iron
Man and the Sub Mariner), and even Robert Reed (Mike Brady)- all as the "bad
guys". I think back then, actors didn't pigeonhole themselves into only doing
one thing. In fact, Shatner's episode (in which he's the right hand man for a
cocaine dealer) repeats Saturday the 11th at 1AM. <<
