No special occasion, Dave. Halloween (October 31) (a US holiday) where you can dress up in costume and go about your business whever your fancy takes you, and Feb. 20 something for Wondercon.
If I don the full ape regalia, I would have to call it a vacation day and not report for duty as a trained monkey because the makeup takes so long for me. And then of course it would depend if I have a cold or not, since the appliance is glued down over my face and I wouldn't be able to blow my nose. If I am in ape makeup, I will visit my children's school and participate in the parade of costumes on the school grounds. I wonder how the children would take the costume. It would be interesting to find out. I will try to videotape it if that happens.

Is there any special occasion, or is this just for fun?
