The original Land of the Lost holds a special place in the hearts of many POTA fans since Ron Harper joined the Saturday morning series in its second season. Because of that there were some who were not happy about it being remade as a Will Ferrell comedy. Well it seems that they may just get the last laugh. Not only was the film poorly reviewed but it came in third in yesterday's box office, after The Hangover and Up, doing barely half of Up's business. How the rest of the weekend shakes out remains to be seen but this has to be a bad sign for a film that was meant to be a major tentpole for Universal this summer.
