Hey there, fellow fans. I'm headed north to Canada in August to
catch our man Gross in some plays at the Stratford Festival. Any
body else headed that way? Want to meet up, have some chow, and gush
about how talented "in wildly bizarre ways" this man truly is? His
song- writing partner David Keeley will also be appearing in some
plays, and there are many Due South alums making stage presence as
well. Oh, Canada! Land that I love! Full of talent! And Wonder!
Ahem, well...ya'all just let me know, ok? Thanks bunches, Kylie
Dear Kylie:
Greetings from Canada! I hope this finds you and yours well. As me, I
really can't complain--yet.
Where are you from? When are you coming up? My cousin, Marie and I are
going to see him in "Hamlet" on May 8th. This is a dream come true, if I may
so. Anyway, can you see those two breaking into a chorus of "Ride Forever"? ;)
Anyway, according to Elyse Dickinson's website, he's also scheduled to play in
"The Ruling Class"--as the nutcase. My cousin says it's not listed in the book
she got from Stratford--unless it's being staged at another theatre. You gotta
remember that Stratford is more than just one theatre. We've got at least two
or three up here. The running time for "The Ruling Class" is June 11th to
November 5th. Oh, by the way, he's also, for one day, supposed to be in the
stage production of "The Portrait of Dorian Grey". My cousin still says
Elyse's grapevine has got root rot.
Please write when you get a chance and we'll start our discussion here.
By the way, have you ever seen "Buried On Sunday"?
Ride forever and write soon!
