Pamela Anderson encountered some nasty turbulence on a flight home to L.A. from
Florida -- but it had to do with a fellow passenger, not the aircraft.
The former "Baywatch" babe was confronted by Louis Zizza, 51, during her
coast-to-coast flight and had to be rescued by flight attendants after the man
became loud, abusive and threatening.
"The guy just verbally assaulted her out of nowhere," a source told The
ENQUIRER. "It was an uncomfortable situation for everyone on the plane, but Pam
certainly got the worst of it."
Anderson was 35,000 feet above Kansas aboard American Airlines flight 364 from
Fort Lauderdale, Fla., when the terrifying air-rage encounter occurred. She was
wearing no makeup, but she was easy to spot in low-cut, skintight jeans with her
famous chest clearly on display in a formfitting white bolero top.
"One of Pam's fellow passengers in first class told me the guy walked up to Pam
as she was sitting in her seat and started talking to her," the source
continued.
"The eyewitness said that at first it seemed as if he was just a fan saying
hello, but then he started giving Pamela a hard time. He got louder and more
obnoxious and told her he'd seen her movies and thought they were 'a bunch of
crap.'
"He also said that although he thought she was beautiful at one time, she was
now 'past her prime' and that her career had been going downhill!"
According to the source, Pamela was polite to the man at first, and then tried
to ignore him -- which seemed to make him more agitated.
"People in the cabin genuinely became concerned that this man was ready to turn
violent," the source said. "It was very tense and Pam was frightened to death.
"Fortunately, cabin attendants saw what was going on, got between Pam and the
irate man, and told the guy to return to his seat. He argued with them but
eventually sat back down."
Eyewitnesses say the actress was visibly shaken by the encounter and had to be
escorted off the plane.
"She was hustled out by security to her Black Escalade SUV, but the guy was
detained and questioned by Los Angeles Airport Police," the source said.
Later, Zizza made a personal apology to Pam for his behavior.
