JUST ANNOUNCED
Paramount has just announced a May 1 release date for "Dreamgirls," the hit musical directed by Bill Condon and starring Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy and Beyonce Knowles; available as a single-disc and a two-disc "Showstopper Edition" on DVD, Blu-ray and HD DVD that will include such extras as extended musical numbers, a feature-length documentary, cast screen tests and auditions, and much more.

DVD COLLECTIBLES:
Due this week: For their "Peter Pan Platinum Edition" two-disc set, the folks at Disney gave the aging film an extensive digital restoration and a new 5.1 Disney Enhanced Home Theater Mix. Extras on the $29.99 set include "Camp Never Land Games," an alternate opening, a deleted song, "You Can Fly: The Making of Peter Pan," and more. ... Warner Home Video has put together the "Literary Classics Collection," a five-disc set with 1962's "Billy Budd," Raoul Walsh's 1950 Gregory Peck-Virginia Mayo starrer "Captain Horatio Hornblower," "Madame Bovary" (1949), the 1948 "The Three Musketeers" starring Lana Turner, Gene Kelly, June Allyson, Van Heflin, Angela Lansbury, Frank Morgan and Vincent Price; and "The Prisoner of Zenda" (a double feature with both the 1937 and 1952 versions; $59.92; each disc includes a cartoon and a vintage short ...
