ONVIDEO'S WEEKLY GUIDE TO HOME VIDEO RELEASES
FOR TUESDAY, April 18 -- MONDAY, April 24

BREAKFAST ON PLUTO
Set in the 1970's, "Breakfast on Pluto" follows the exploits of
Patrick Braden (Cillian Murphy), an endearing, but deceptively
tough young man. Abandoned as a baby in his small Irish hometown
and aware from a very early age that he is different, Patrick
survives this harsh environment with the aid of his wit and
charm, plus a sweet refusal to let anyone and anything change who
he is. Director Neil Jordan weaves a wonderfully surreal and
magical tale to bring us this funny, moving and poignant rites of
passage account of a young man enduring the trials and
tribulations he faces with a smile and unwavering faith in the
inherent goodness in us all. Vitals: Director: Neil Jordan.
Stars: Cillian Murphy, Liam Neeson, Stephen Rea, Brendon Gleeson,
Ruth Negga. 2005, CC, MPAA rating: R, 135 min., Drama, Box office
gross: $0.781 million, Sony, No VHS SRP, Priced for rental.

HOSTEL

Two American college thrill-seekers (Jay Hernandez and Derek
Richardson) find themselves victims of a murder-for-profit
business while backpacking in Eastern Europe. Lured to a hostel
in an out-of-the-way Slovakian town boasting a bevy of beauties,
the two quickly pair off with exotic locals Natalya and Svetlana.
After awakening from a hedonistic night of sin, they find
themselves plunged into an unimaginable hell, trapped in a
torturous netherworld as wide and deep as the darkest, sickest
recess of human nature itself. Vitals: Director: Eli Roth. Stars:
Jay Hernandez, Derek Richardson, Eythor Gudjonsson, Barbara
Nedeljakova. 2006, CC, MPAA rating: R, 94 min., Horror, Box
office gross: $45.802 million, Sony, No VHS SRP, Priced for
rental.

MRS. HENDERSON PRESENTS

Judi Dench plays Lauran Henderson, a woman who buys an old London
theater during World War II's blitzkrieg to turn it into a
performance hall that becomes famous for its all-nude reviews.
Mrs. Henderson may be a widow but she is by no means going to
spend the rest her days playing bridge. The Windmill Theater
becomes her game and the infamous showman Vivian Van Dam (Bob
Hoskins) becomes her partner. The Germans may be bombing London
but the roar of the Windmill is all that can be heard as Laura
convinces Lord Cromer (Christopher Guest) to allow her actresses
to be the one thing no one could ever imagine: Nude. Vitals:
Director: Stephen Frears. Stars: Judi Dench, Bob Hoskins, Will
Young, Kelly Reilly, Thelma Barlow. Christopher Guest. 2005, CC,
MPAA rating: R, 103 min., Comedy, Box office gross: $8.472
million, The Weinstein Co., No VHS SRP, Priced for rental.
