Just announced:
Warner Home Video will release on October 18 "Batman Begins, directed by
Christopher
Nolan and starring Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes,
Gary
Oldman, Cillian Murphy, Tom Wilkinson, Rutger Hauer and Ken Watanabe. The DVD
will be
released in two versions: A single-disc with the film only and a two-disc deluxe
edition
with such extras as documentaries on the genesis of the Dark Knight and the
reinvention
of the Batmobile; Bale's transformation into Batman; a spoof, "Tankman Begins";
a
featurette on the creation of Gotham City, the Batcave and Wayne Manor; and a
72-page
collectible comic book.
Also from Warner, on November 15, comes the final goodbye from "Friends":
"Friends: The
Complete Tenth Season," a four-disc set with 18 episodes from the final season,
$44.98,
with such extras as never-before-seen footage and a 45-minute gag reel. A
complete set
of all "Friends" is also in the works for that day: "Friends: The One With All
Ten Seasons,"
priced at $299.98, features all 229 episodes on 40 discs -- a total of 110 hours
of
programming. It comes in a limited-edition collectable case that's also
available separately
by mail for fans who have been collecting individual season sets.
