After years of requests from film fans, Paramount will release to
DVD on August 2 "The High and the Mighty – Special Collector's
Edition. Starring the legendary John Wayne, the Academy Award
winning 1954 film arrives in a special two-disc collector's edition
that includes many special features. This rare classic -- never
before available on DVD or VHS -- has been meticulously
restored and remastered.

Specs: Widescreen version enhanced for 16:9 televisions; Dolby
Digital English 5.1 and 2.0 Surround; sub-titled in English and
closed-captioned for the hearing-impaired. Disc One:
