Cleveland, Ohio-Congratulations to David Hall, a Fiscal Agent
Sponsorship Program participant, for a $4,300 Project Support Grant
from the Greater Columbus Arts Council for his 35mm short film, "The
Shovel." The film is Mr. Hall's first, he had never applied to
the GCAC for funding before; yet he received 100% of his request.

Mr. Halls says, "…my affiliation with the Ohio Independent Film
Festival brought instant credibility to my grant application. As a
rookie filmmaker, I had neither a body of work nor any kind of
professional experience to demonstrate talent or skill. I truly
believe the reputation of the OIFF was a contributing factor in the
approval of my grant. I am profoundly grateful to the OIFF for their
support, and continue to be impressed with their professionalism and
die-hard dedication to Ohio's independent filmmakers."
