This November marks the tenth anniversary for the Ohio Independent
Film Festival (OIFF) and July 1, 2003 is the last chance for
filmmakers and artists to submit screenplays, music videos, and
shorts or features for inclusion in this year¡¦s festival
celebration.

The Ohio Independent Screenplay Awards has long been the most
respected screenplay competition in the Midwest. With a ¡§Voices
of
Color¡¨ category for the second year standing and sponsorship from
www.WritersScriptNetwork.com for promotional package to the winning
screenplays, the screenplay awards continues to encourage and support
different creative voices.

For this anniversary season, the Ohio Independent Film festival is
adding a music video category to its always entertaining line-up of
innovative cinema. In addition to a screening at the annual OIFF,
entries will be considered for display at Independent
Pictures' "Summer Crush" benefit, Saturday August 2 at The Odeon,
Cleveland¡¦s premier rock and roll club in the Flats.

Continuing with the festival¡¦s mission to exhibit works by
emerging
film and video artists, the OIFF only accepts submissions without
theatrical distribution. In an increasingly competitive festival
environment, an open submission policy ensures the filmmakers from
Northeast Ohio, all over the country, and all over the world have a
chance to get their project viewed by eager audiences.
