Cleveland, Ohio - "…because in this day and age, at some point
every
film has some sort of visual effect. These effects may go right by
the viewer, they are so seemless," says Stephen R. Lebed, an
almost
twenty-year veteran of the Hollywood film and television visual and
special effects industry. Join Mr. Lebed at his in-depth two-day
Visual and Special Effects Workshop at the Ohio Independent Film
Festival where he will teach modern visual effects, how to choose the
right tool for the job at-hand, and how to get a job in the visual
and special effects industry.
Mr. Lebed is currently the Visual Effects Supervisor for the hit TV
show CHARMED starring Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan, and Holly Marie
Combs. Selected past credits include STAR TREK, ALIEN NATION, JAG,
BABYLON 5, and the feature films PROPHESY 2, SECOND TIME AROUND,
DARKMAN, TREMORS, CRITTERS 2, ED WOOD, INTO THE SUN and INDEPENDENCE
DAY, the biggest effects film of the 1990's based on the sheer amount
of effects shots.
The two-day workshop will be held 9a-1p on Saturday November 9 and
Sunday November 10 at the Cleveland Public Theatre¦s Gordon Square
Theatre located on 6409 Detroit Avenue. Class size is limited,
reserve your space now for only $110 or $80 for IP members. Similar
learning experiences are priced much higher on the West Coast.
Tickets are available in advance at Independent Pictures by
