SUNDANCE PICK TO CLEVELAND PREMIERE AT THE OHIO INDEPENDENT FILM
FESTIVAL
extraordinary films you wouldn't ordinarily see
our 15th festival in eight years

For Immediate Release: October 29, 2001

Contact: Annetta Marion or Bernadette Gillota, Co-Artistic and
Executive Directors, (216) 651-7315

Cleveland-TWO UNKNOWN PHOTOGRAPHERS enjoyed its world premiere this
year at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah-this country's
most prestigious film festival, and will make its local premiere next
week at the 2001 Ohio Independent Film Festival & Market on Saturday,
November 10 at 5p at Cleveland Public Theatre, 6415 Detroit Road.

TWO UNKNOWN PHOTOGRAPHER is about two sets of photographs the
filmmaker, Kon Pet Moon, found in an old camera store where he worked
in San Francisco's Tenderloin area. Among abandoned orders, Moon
found two bundles of tied-up pictures that were special; and a film
about them and their makers began. Part documentary, part magic, the
viewer is left to mull over the relationship of photographic details
captured in the frame and the personal context of those who take
them.

Kon Pet Moon is a Professor at Columbus College of Art & Design and
will be attending the screening of his film at the 2001 OIFF & Market
for questions and discussion. Moon has been a film and videomaker
for thirty years who has received numerous grants and awards, and has
screened works at venues including Museum of Modern Art in New York
City, the Cinematheque in San Francisco, the Los Angeles Film Forum,
and the Brisbane International Film Festival in Australia.
