Re: RFP for Independent Pictures website

Independent Pictures, a non-profit organization which is dedicated to the
support of the
freedom of expression through a number of programs and events, has a need for a
website re-design that would represent both Independent Pictures and The Ohio
Independent Film Festival in an exciting, interesting and efficient way. We are
seeking a
production group to complete graphic design and programming for the project,
including
necessary middleware for inputting of this data from the website to a simple
back-end
database or existing database. The finished piece must also include an
attractive front
"page" or what we assume to be a "flash" animation. As part of your proposed
budget,
please also include all fees for design of site, programming, and hosting of
site.

Although we have ideas for navigation and content, we look to you for
recommendations.
Optimally, the finished site needs to do the following:
• Present information about Independent Pictures, its purpose and history,
through use of
a historical section, FAQ's, a listing of sponsors and benefactors, and a
solicitation for
donations section.
• Present detailed information about The Ohio Independent Film Festival
including
historical references, schedule of present festival films and events,
descriptions of films,
and information on submitting films and attending festival.
• Present information about other events throughout the year, perhaps through
the use of
an updateable calendar.
• Allow direct purchases of items and tickets, or link customers to ticket
purchase point.
• Allow film submission applications and fees to be processed.
• Add festival attendees, applicants, volunteers, and/or other interested
persons to
mailing list and/or database.
• Allow for simple updating of information by Independent Pictures, through the
use of a
content management tool.

The due date for proposals is Friday, May 13, 2005. Please include:
• A line-itemed budget up to $3,000.00 (final billing must not exceed this
budget)
• An estimated production schedule, with the site-launch goal of October 1, 2005
in mind.
This schedule would include testing time.
• One or more initial design interpretations.
• Recommendations and explanations of middleware and database collection and
storage.

Assume no additional assets, beyond what is included with this RFP.
