I'm on a mission to get more Danny as well as more Danny and Cricket
on The Young and the Restless and I need help. We need to let the
writers and producers know how much we want to see Danny and Cricket
on Y&R. I'm not just talking about a few scenes here and there,
dealing with Phyllis and Daniel, I'm talking about a real storyline
and some real romance as we've seen in the past.

There has been nothing written about Michael Damian leaving Y&R.
According to a chat session in May with Michael, I believe he
indicated that he had some commitments in France this summer
regarding a movie he was directing. This would explain his absence
from Y&R at this time. Hopefully, if that is the case, when he is
finished up there, we can finally get a real storyline for him on Y&R.

Here's what we need to do. First we need to write letters (as many
as possible – get your friends and family to write as well) to the
writers and producers at the following address:

Follow up letters with e-mails to yrbb@.... It is best to
send letters snail mail, as they have more impact. We need to tell
them how much we want to see Danny as well as Danny and Cricket.
Give them storyline ideas or even just scene ideas. Let them know
how much we want to see these two together more often. If you don't
want to write a letter, at least send a postcard with a brief note
about having more Danny and more Danny and Cricket together.

We also need to write letters to Lauralee Bell and Michael Damian at
the same address.

Second, we should send letters and/or e-mails to the soap magazines
as well. Let them know how much we want to see Michael Damian and
how much we want to see Danny and Cricket together. The addresses
for the three major soap magazines are as follows:

Third, we need to get on the more popular message boards, such as at

and discuss this situation. The powers that be do read these boards.

Finally, we need to vote at the following sites to let everyone know
who our favorite actor, actress and couple are:

At the Soap Opera Digest site, you can only vote once a week, but you
can vote more than once if you have more than one e-mail address.
Get your friends and family to vote as well. At the CBS Soaps in
Depth site, you can vote once a day. Unfortunately, Michael Damian
is not included in the favorite actor category, but Christine and
Danny are listed in the couple category. Maybe if we get enough
votes in that category, they will add Michael Damian to the favorite
actor category. Vote once a day and again, get your friends and
family to vote as well.

Also, as added incentive, we need to show our support at Michael's
own message board at www.michaeldamian.com. Michael does read it and
loves to hear what everyone thinks.

I think that if we get enough buzz going, we can succeed in our
mission to see more Danny and more Danny and Cricket. Hopefully, we
can even get them to move Michael Damian from recurring status to
contract.
