Threats to reproductive freedom and justice have never been so systematic and
coordinated, and the lives and health of Mississippi women never faced such
peril.  The
Jackson Area National Organization for Women (NOW), along with the Mississippi
ACLU
and the MS Reproductive Freedom Coalition are organizing an action around the
upcoming
hostile visit by Operation Oppress America (this is what they actually do),
during the week
of July 15-22, 2006.

Year after year anti-choice bullies travel across the country terrorizing
clinics, their staff
and patients and each time, the pro-choice community continues to show support
for
women, feminist issues and safe legal access to reproductive health care, free
of
government and religious intrusion.  As an organization with a strong pro-choice
foundation, NOW stands firm on reproductive freedom.  We are committed to
preserving a
woman's right to choose.

July 15-22, 2006, Jackson, MS will be invaded by `Operation Oppress America' and
several
other self-righteous, right-winged Christian fundamentalists, who use a
nationwide
network of churches to organize a series of actions against abortion providers
and harass
women visiting the clinics.  They have chosen the Jackson's Women Health
Clinic-the only
provider in Mississippi.

The battle for reproductive freedom is a human rights struggle that includes all
matters of
equality and social justice. Reproductive justice connects the similarities amid
sexism,
poverty, racism, xenophobia and homophobia in achieving undivided human rights. 
Pro-
choice activists throughout the state have been organizing to combat this
action.  We have
organized Reproductive Freedom Summer 2006: Providing a Peaceful Presence, a
week
long of scheduled pro-choice events to show support to the clinic, its staff and
most
importantly, the courageous patients.

As a Chapter President and National Board Member, I respectfully ask for your
support
doing this challenging time. We need:
• Activists to come to Jackson and aid in this fight
• Volunteers
• Financial contributions
• Items for silent auction
• Spread the word of our cause
I thank those who have made donations to our effort already.  The books, tapes,
homemade items and money will be put to great use.

I have to do this, I don't think Nisha deserves the negativity from
anyone, especially if it is posted here.  This is going to stay a very
positive club and support for Nisha.  Please do NOT place sex ads here,

Just received word from Nisha's film company that "Cake" will be
released around February 14, 2006.  This sounds like a great film and I
hope everyone enjoys this film, too.  I still have "Fast Food High" if

What are the odds that a stridently commitment-phobic freelance
writer would wind up editing -- wait for it -- a wedding magazine?
Pretty good, if she's living inside this heroically contrived
romantic comedy.

Pippa McGee (Heather Graham) is a globe-trotting excitement junkie,
but during a trip home to Toronto, she finds her publishing magnate
father (Bruce Gray) sprawled out in the living room after a heart
attack. He's OK -- phew! -- but Pippa wants to help out, and
volunteers to run bridal tome Wedding Bells in his absence.

It's time for those of you playing at home to pull out your modern
rom-com checklist. Pippa's wacky female friends (check) think it's
gonna work out, and her go-girl gay assistant (check) is on board,
but her tenure is soon fraught with predictable peril: her ideas are
too "highbrow" and nobody "gets" her (check and check). It's all very
sad, until Pippa falls for straight-arrow company man Ian (David
Sutcliffe) and realizes that true love may not be a hopeless illusion
(check and mate).

Movies this formulaic and transparent don't come out of nowhere.
They're byproducts of the very same predatory corporate forces that
our heroine derides for bamboozling female consumers with glossy
mixed messages. Seems there is an audience for Cake: let them eat it.

You might think Nisha is close by, since I always call her smiling
sunshine.  It is a beautiful day.  Will tan some more, I love that
look, anyway.  I found some more photos of Nisha on the Net.  I will
attempt to upload them, since I am back online, thanx to my friend
Owl.  I love him.
I just wanted to inform everyone that these photos will be uploaded
soon.  She is the sight for sore eyes.  I am looking forward to "Bam
Bam And Celeste" with Margaret Cho.  It is coming out later this
year, from what I read, but then again you cannot always go by the
Net and what you read.  I learned that the hard way.  Sigh....
Sent Nisha an e-mail wishing her well and happiness.  If you read her
Blog her Mother took a nasty fall.  That really sucked.  And it
brought back some horrifying memories, for my Mother, God rest her.
Nisha, I pray Ganesha watches over you and your Mother, I don't want
to have to read anything bad.  I know it is a fact of life, but if
your Mother is anything like you then I know she is a great person.
Look forward to meeting up with you again.  Still working on that art

I just read that Nisha has moved from New York to the East Coast, I'm
not sure if she plans to travel this soon.  It would be great if she
does go to your event, what a fabulous cause, I wish I could go to your
event, but am stuck in Philly still working on getting my leg back
together after my surgery last year.  I will make sure this is a
bookmark at home in my 'puter, and I will also include this in Links
section here for everyone.  Thank you for letting us in on your
ventures and best of luck to you.  I wish there were more people who
would donate their spare time to these events, there is never enough
time to do all the things we want in life.  But just as long as we try
that is what counts.  I am trying to get involved in cat rescue for our
ferals we feed, it is hard, but they do make great cats being I have 4
that I live with, (and 1 that some idiot dropped off late one night) so
I am spreading myself thin right now with full time work and
