I got a Cult Times special at the weekend ('defending the realm',
it's £5), which had a spooks article in it. Thought I'd quote this
bit for you:

"Wolstencraft was particularly happy with the addition of Nicola
Walker, who plays Ruth. 'I love Nicola; I've known Nicola for years
and years, she's fantastic. She fulfils a very important function; I
think her and Malcolm are very useful because they just know
everything, and there's nothing worse than a character saying 'This
is the situation'. It' a way of mixing it up a bit, to follow whoever
we like particularly. With a run of 10 you want to be able to follow
Sam for an episode, or you want to follow Ruth for an episode, or
focus on them at least."

So there you go, short but it made me happy.

Incidentally, was in the penultimate episode of the last series of
Red Cap - did anyone else see it or just me?
