What should we call you? Dippy, please :)

Give us a fun fact: I'm afraid of revolving doors...

Penname (on FFN): Dippy Conlon (obligatory disclaimer: I was young(er) when I
made it up and really am not a fangirl)

Favorite newsie: Spot from the beginning, but I've recently developed a bit of a
crush on Skittery.

Favorite line in the movie: Hmmm... It might have to be "Did I spell it right,
Kloppman?" for two reasons: it's adorable and it shows a desire to use proper
spelling and grammar, which I give two thumbs up.

---

Favorite (published) author(s): Oscar Wilde. I would end there out of respect
for my absolute favorite, but there are so many other good ones that need
mentioning, so I'll go on.
Marcel Proust (makes me incredibly jealous every time I read him)
Kurt Vonnegut
Federico Garcia Lorca (amazing poetry)
Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Shakespeare (I'm not just saying that - I have an unhealthy addiction to
Hamlet and have read it five times and counting)
Tom Stoppard (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead because, much as I love
Shakespeare, I take him with a grain of salt and the same with Stoppard, really)
Joseph Heller (I've been reading Good as Gold and giggling madly to
myself...)
Lemony Snicket (I practically worship him)
I'll cut myself off here :)

Favorite (published) book(s): Picture of Dorian Gray (I can hardly even talk
about it, but it will make you wish that Wilde wrote more prose because it's
beautiful)
Peter Pan
Hamlet
Series of Unfortunate Events
A Clockwork Orange (I was excited to see that other people had read it :) )
Slaughterhouse Five
I guess I'll stop there

Favorite quote: I don't do favorite quotes :) I just feel like everything
sounds cheesy when it's taken out of its context. it can be the most brilliant,
least cheesy thing in the world, but taken on its own, it sounds cheesy. Maybe
it's because of my love for Oscar Wilde, the source of tons of (misused) quotes.

Favorite (fanfiction) author(s): Raven's Wing, RiotAct, I don't know. I don't
read as much Newsies fanfic as I should because of Mary Sues, really.

Favorite (fanfiction) story(ies): Just about anything by Raven's Wing, Going
Home by RiotAct. Um, same as above

Favorite genre to read? To write? To read? I read just about anything, but I
generally avoid Newsies romance, not because I don't like it, but because I'm
afraid of the Mary Sues.

Recommend us one of your stories... (link, if you can!) Um, well "Can Love
Overcome Stink?" is my most recent Newsies one and it makes me smile, so there
you go: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3287322/1/

Fanfic pet peeve: Mary Sues, historical inaccuracy (girls in pants, homosexual
couples encountering NO prejudice, current slang, etc.), accents, poor
grammar/spelling, Sarah bashing, alcoholic!Spot, womanizer!Spot, the list just
goes on and on and on :)

RP? I've never done it before.

---

Are you excited about NewsieChallenge? Yup.

Any other comments: Um, yay?
