Hey, everyone,
Well, as I promised, I got my Blink Week website together with all the
information for this year's contest. You can find it at
http://queenitsy.com/newsies/blink/ .
The basic info:
The contest runs from July 15-July 22, though I might be willing to
expand that if people really need more time. Entries *must* be posted
during that week, since the whole point is to have a week where the
fandom is flood with Blink fics. :) I'll accept one-shots or the
beginning of a new multi-chapter fic, but the fic must be *new*.
There are four categories: Best Characterization (of Blink,
obviously), Best Slash fic, Best Het/Gen fic, and Best Fic overall.
When July 15 rolls around and you can post your entries, send me the
following information if you want them to be entered/included in the
Blink Week archive:
Your name and email
The URL where your fic can be found
Fic title
Fic rating
Summary
The email to send them to is kidblink@.... (If you must send
them as an attachment/text, that's fine, but posting them elsewhere
and sending me a link is preferred.)
Also: I am a stickler for spelling and punctuation. If you need to
brush up on these, you might want to check out Fanfic101:
http://queenitsy.com/newsies/fanfic101/ .
As for the "other stuff," I'm trying to put together a list of newsies
websites that are still active, since a lot of the ones I've run
across tend to be, well, dead. I'd like to put together a pretty
comprehensive links list, but at the same time what I'm really looking
for are sites that have clean layouts and original content. So if you
have one or know of one, please do let me know. (Again, the email is
kidblink@....)
And I think that about does it. Email me with any questions, of course.
