Film Screening of the Winter Soldier Investigation '71

Come join members of the Campus Antiwar Network and Iraq Veterans Against the War in a film screening of Winter Soldier '71. The Winter Soldier Investigation was an event held in Detroit in 1971 where members of Vietnam Veterans Against the War came together to testify on the crimes they had seen committed in Vietnam. Along with the film, will be a panel with author and professor Christian Appy, a member of the Western Massachusetts chapter of Iraq Veterans Against the War, the Campus Antiwar Network and GI Rights Hotline.

This film screening is in preparation for Winter Soldier: Iraq and Afghanistan which will be held in Washington D.C. from March 13th-16th. Members of Iraq Veterans Against the War from Western Massachusetts will be going down to D.C. to participate in the testimonies and will return to UMass to give a report back on the event.
