from Michael Kusek:
Evening!
There are several opportunities coming up in the next few weeks to make your thoughts on the proposed Round House development known to officials for the City of Northampton. There is still time to make your thoughts heard and influence the final plans for the development of this significant piece of city owned property situated alongside some of the most historic buildings in the city.
1. The city has made the most recent images of the Pioneer Valley Hotel Group’s Hilton Garden Inn available on the city’s website:
These pictures show the most recent design changes, how the hotel will be situated along Pulaski Park and highlight the scale of the proposed project.

2. The Paradise City Forum is hosting a public discussion on June 27th at the Unitarian Church, 220 Main Street from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Their flyer, with the list of speakers and the topics is attached to this email.
This forum proposes to be a great opportunity for local residents to have a conversation about this project and how it impacts affordable housing, our historic downtown and our city’s park.
3. The next public hearing on the Hilton Garden Inn at the Round House lot by the Northampton Planning Board has been scheduled on July 19th at 8 PM. The meeting location has not yet been posted on the City’s calendar.
I’ve been informed that this meeting will be running at the same time as the Northampton City Council meeting — so the Councilors will be unable to attend and hear the community’s thoughts and suggestions on the Round House project. If you would like to contact your Councilor with your concerns about the project, their contact information may be found here.

4. If you cannot attend any of these meetings, please consider sending an email the members of the Planning Board c/o the Office of Planning and Development at:
cmisch@...
Please cc: a copy of your email to me at michael@.... I am going to assemble them into a packet to present to the members of the Planning Board at the meeting on the 19th.
This is the perfect option for armchair activists, vacationing Northampton-ites or those previously committed to another event on the 19th!
Once again, I’d like to thank folks for the amazing conversations I’ve been given the chance to participate in and for your responses since I began these emails. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me back.
Regards,
Michael Kusek
PS: If you’d like to be removed from this email list, please let me know. I took advantage of my personal email list to launch this discussion, but by no means want to hold anyone to it if they don’t want to be getting these emails. Just say the word and I’ll spare you any future notices that I might be sending out. (Infinite thanks for your patience.)
