Hi Movie Fans!

Ok so the survey is over. I will try to keep this short and not
bore you with all the details, I just wanted to touch on a couple
things.

First I would like to thank those of you who took time out of
your busy schedule to participate. I will assume those of you who
didn't are so extremely satisfied you saw no need in wasting your
time with this non-sense. Either that or your a glutten for
punishment. <g>

To start off, the results show that overall you are extremely
satisfied or very satisfied with the newsletter.

A large majority of you are Extremely satisfied with the quality
of the news and information 95%...same goes for Timeliness of
news/information as well as Usefulness of news/information.

100% of those surveyed said they would recommend the newsletter
to others.
(Note: Please do! http://www.recommend-it.com/l.z.e?s=697980)

Most of you read the newsletter for the "Movie & Entertainment
News" with the second runner-up being "New to Theaters."

99% of you are NOT opposed to receiving the newsletter 3 times a
week or more. (We are glad to hear this. Although no plans have
been made to publish a third issue, we have thought about it to
help keep the size of the newsletter down).

When asked what you like least about the newsletter most of you
chose "Celebrity Birthdays." I understand that some of you
probably genuinely do not like that feature of the newsletter,
but I am assuming most of you do not have a problem with it. You
were asked to pick your LEAST favorite feature in the newsletter
and so you did.

This has gotten to be way longer than I intended, so I will end
with a reply in reference to some of the comments that were left.

Some of you said you would like to see pictures in the
newsletter. We think that is a great idea, however that would
require us to send it in HTML format. That is not to say we are
not up for that, infact it has been discussed. We are just not
prepared to take that step yet. Stay tuned. (For those of you who
are happy with the text format don't worry we would never do away
with it.)

Most all of the comments left were positive in nature, mainly to
let us know that we are doing a good job rather than suggestions.
I do not want appear like I'm bragging so I will leave it at that
and just say once again thank you for your support. The results
from the survey give us an idea where we stand with our readers
and we will do our best to implement your ideas and suggestions.

- Bob

FOX PICKS UP 'BUMPER'
20th Century Fox has picked up a fantasy family film concept
called "Bumper to Bumper." The film tells the story of the secret

it's born on the assembly line and transported to its first
family in California.

NO 'DANGEROUS' FOR MYERS
Mike Myers has decided not to take on the big screen version of
Chuck Barris' tongue-in-cheek biography "Confessions of a
Dangerous Mind." Word is that he chose to pass on the project due
to potential scheduling conflicts, one of which may be the "Pink
Panther" remake. It's being reported that Ben Stiller and John
Cusack are now being eyed as the top contenders to take on the
film's lead role.

QUESTED TO DIRECT 'KUNG FU'
Music video director Nick Quested has been tapped by Mandalay
Pictures to helm their upcoming comedy "Kung Fu Theater." With
plans to start production in Hong Kong in March, the story tells

into the film's world which he recognizes as being peopled with
characters from his chop socky favorite films.

(Brosnan) who travels through Europe with his business
partner/sister and winds up falling in love with a beautiful
woman who turns out to be a master con artist.

DISNEY LOOKING TO ACQUIRE 'BABY'S'

"Baby's" follows a man grieving the death of his fiancee, who was
killed in a restaurant where she was waiting tables. The man, who

Neiman-Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman department store chains,
alleging that they have infringed on and diluted the rock band's
trademarked name by creating and marketing a "Metallica" perfume
brand. The suit, filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Los
Angeles, seeks a withdrawal of the scent from the market, plus
damages to be determined. Early this year, Metallica reached an
out-of-court settlement of a similar suit against Victoria's
Secret over its "Metallica" lip gloss. Metallica is also involved
with a legal battle against controversial file-swapping company
Napster Inc.

Kevin Chamberlin, who plays Horton the elephant in the $10
million musical, came out and presented her with the Cat's
signature red-and-white top hat and asked, "Would you be our Cat
in the Hat?"

'NORMAL, OHIO' NO MORE

gay-themed show's original 13-episode commitment.

'BEAST' GETS MIDSEASON ORDER
Mimi Leder's "The Beast" is roaring back at ABC. The network has
given a six-episode midseason order to the drama project produced
by Imagine Television in association with Touchstone Television
that was initially developed as a pilot last season.

third annual TV Guide awards ceremony, which lets fans pick the

5. MOVIE REVIEW(s)
================================================

Edited by Lori Kennedy.

Proof of Life (Rated R)
Starring: Russell Crowe, Meg Ryan, David Morse

Proof of Life stars the dynamic duo, Meg Ryan (as Alice Bowman)
and Russell Crowe (as Terry Thorne). The film is based upon an
anti-government guerrilla kidnapping in South America. Alicia
hires a professional negotiator, Terry, to help aid in the
release of her husband whom has been kidnapped. The group of
guerrilla drug lords take Alicia's husband captive in exchange
for a rather large ransom. Needless to say, this just so happens
to take place after a marital disagreement between the two
lovebirds. Terry accepts the assignment first for work and then
as a point of honor.

The actions sequences which, though few in number, are extremely
satisfying. It places you in the intense melodrama of high stakes
kidnapping and negotiations. Meg and Russell deliver their parts
on screen very well. The suspense kept you on the edge while the
love triangle kept you guessing. I found Proof of Life to be
quite intriguing. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone
who wants a night of excitement.

6. CELEBRITY PROFILE
==========
CHUCK NORRIS
================================================

Chuck was born Carlos Ray Norris on March 10 1940 in Ryan,
Oklahoma to an Irish mother and a Cherokee Indian father. The
eldest of three children, he helped his mother raise his two
younger brothers in Torrance, California, where his family moved
when he was 12. To escape the ridicule of being called a
"half-breed" Chuck joined the Air Force after graduating from
high school. He was stationed in Korea for three years, where he
dedicated himself to the study of karate and judo: he earned a
black belt in the former, a brown belt in the latter, and a
nickname, "Chuck."

After returning home, Norris worked for Northrop Aviation and
moonlighted as a karate instructor. Two years later, he was
teaching full-time and running a number of martial-arts schools.
In 1968, he opened a chain of 32 karate schools, where he taught
the likes of Steve McQueen and members of the Osmond family. That
same year, Norris became the Professional World Middleweight
Karate Champion. He held the title undefeated until he retired in
1974. Encouraged by former pupil McQueen, Norris took a shot at
movie stardom with only a bit part in a soft-porn flick under his
belt. In his first big roles, he played a villain to Bruce Lee's
hero in two films, "Return of the Dragon" and "Game of Death."

Norris went on to become familiar to fans worldwide as the star
of action films including "The Hitman," Delta Force," and "Delta
Force II." He also starred in "Missing in Action" and its
sequels, "Firewalker" and "Sidekicks." In addition to his acting
duties He is the author of the books The Secret of Inner Strength
and The Secret Power Within - Zen Solutions to Real Problems.. He
works for many charities, including the Funds for Kids, Veterans
Administration National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans, the
United Way Make-a-Wish Foundation, and Kick Drugs Out of America,
a nonprofit organization he created to help battle drugs and
violence in schools. Chuck Norris is now an Executive Producer of
"Walker, Texas Ranger" as well as the actor in the title role.
