TALKS UNDERWAY TO SELL MOVIES ONLINE
The fear of a "Napster for movies" rearing its head has major
Hollywood studios working on plans to provide feature films via
the Internet, industry sources say. "What appears to be happening
in the market is that Sony and Disney are exploring this area and
there are discussions among all the studios with each other,"
said one source familiar with the situation. Industry sources
also said Disney has been talking with News Corp's Twentieth
Century Fox studio about joining as a partner in an Internet site

Sony has already developed a platform that will allow customers
to download a movie, which it expects to launch next year.

Beverly Hills home, police said on Thursday. Police said Spade's
personal assistant, David Warren Malloy, 29, was arrested on
Wednesday afternoon and charged with burglary and assault with a
deadly weapon. He was taken to a hospital for reasons that police
did not disclose. "David Molloy was a good friend of mine for
five years," Spade, the 36-year-old star of "Just Shoot Me," said
in a statement. "I believe he is a good person who is obviously
mentally troubled right now. I can only hope that he seeks the

to get well. My heart goes out to him."

A burglar apparently welcomed himself into Alice Cooper's
suburban Phoenix, Arizona home. According to police reports, the
thief broke into Cooper's Paradise Valley home Saturday and made
off with more than $6,400 in clothes, shoes and video cameras
belonging to one of Cooper's daughters. The burglar also took
four of Cooper's gold records and a double-gold record from Guns
N' Roses. Cooper was out of town, police spokesman Lt. Ron Warner
said.
MADONNA'S HOME ROBBED TOO
Thieves broke into pop superstar Madonna London home and then
stole her boyfriend's Range Rover. The 42-year-old singer, her
two young children and film director Guy Ritchie were asleep
upstairs when the burglars struck. Police said an investigation
was under way after the robbery early on Friday morning in the
fashionable London district of Notting Hill. "A number of items
were stolen including a set of car keys which were then used to
steal the Range Rover," a police spokeswoman said. "The vehicle
was later recovered in west London and forensic testing will be

bad to worse when the sinister Mrs. Tweedy (Miranda Richardson)

ingredient in chicken pot pies. However, some hope literally
falls from the sky in the form of Rocky (Mel Gibson), an American
rooster who promises to teach the chickens how to fly. As the
