Hi Movie Fans!

who's health is not so good. Please keep her in your thought's.

On a happier note have you guy's been watching Survivor? I must say
I have missed only one episode since It started and I love it. I
have to admit I could do without a naked Richard, but thank god for
the blur! So who is going to win this darn thing? Any guesses?
There are seven left Richard, Colleen, Gervase, Kelly, Rudy, Susan,
and Sean. I'm interested in hearing your predictions!

On a final note..I have added yet another feature to Wednesday's
Edition. This feature is called ironically "Online Celebrity Chat".
Took me a good part of the day to come up with that one ;-).
Anyways when we come across news that a Celebrity will be doing
some online chatting somewhere we will pass it along to you. You
will find it above the television news. Enjoy!

================================================

JACKMAN, TRAVOLTA IN 'SWORDFISH'
Hugh Jackman ("X-Men") is in negotiations to star opposite John
Travolta in Warner Bros.' "Swordfish" for director Dominic Sena.
The project is slated to start production at the end of the month.
"Swordfish," written by Skip Woods, is about a charismatic spy
(Travolta) hired by the CIA to enlist a computer hacker (Jackman)
recently released from prison to help steal $6 billion in unused
government funds. In exchange, the hacker can regain custody of his
daughter and start a new life.

STONE EYEING ROOSEVELT
Oliver Stone has his sights set on another conspiracy. The "JFK"
director wants to make a movie about an alleged plot by rich
Republicans to topple President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933,
according to Friday's Daily News. "The coup d'etat planned against
President Roosevelt has amazingly disappeared from the history
books," Stone writes in the introduction to the newly published
book, "Oliver Stone's USA: Film, History and Controversy."

KINDA LATE HITTING THE PUBLIC, BUT..
Actor and National Rifle Association President Charlton Heston
spent three weeks in an alcohol rehabilitation program last spring
after his social drinking got out of hand, his publicist said
Monday. "He thought he needed to take care of something that could
possibly become a huge problem," Lisa DeMatteo said. "He's actually
back at work, taking care of himself and feeling great."

SANDLER GOES ONLINE
Adam Sandler will again team with producer Jack Giarraputo, this
time to create an online entertainment company known as
Shnorff.com, which will include animated and live-action short-form
entertainment. Sandler is no stranger to Internet entertainment.
"The Peeper," his animated six-minute short, was a popular staple
at Warner Bros. Online, drawing an audience of more than 1 million
its debut weekend and several million Internet surfers during the
course of a few months.

NEXT FLICK FOR DICAPRIO
Leonardo DiCaprio has found his next picture, "Catch Me If You
Can," for DreamWorks. The actor agreed late Friday to star in the
true-life story of the youngest man ever to make the FBI's 10 most
wanted list. The actor will segue into the film in March 2001,
after he completes his turn as a gangster in Martin Scorsese's
"Gangs of New York," for Miramax Films and Initial Entertainment
Group. Gore Verbinski is the front-runner to direct "Catch Me," but
no deal has yet been negotiated.

SIR CHARLES THE THESPIAN?
Former NBA star Charles Barkley, who made a cameo appearance in
Spike Lee's 1998 movie "He Got Game," says he's looking for roles
that will let him create some on-screen mayhem. "That's been my
ultimate goal, and I've got it narrowed down to five or 10
scripts," Barkley said Sunday before a charity golf event. "I'm not
going to be no action hero, but I do want to kill people. I've
always wanted to kill somebody, so I can't wait to do that," he
said. Barkley, who retired last season after a 16-year NBA career,
has signed on as a basketball commentator for TNT next season.

MAGUIRE IN 'SPIDER-MAN' NEGOTIATIONS
Tobey Maguire (Cider House Rules, Pleasantville) is
in final negotiations to play the lead role in Sam Raimi's
"Spider-Man" feature film.

DMX CAST IN FOURTH 'CROW'
Rapper DMX has signed to the title role in "The Crow: Lazarus". DMX
will play Lazarus, a rap artist who returns to life to seek
vengeance on the biker gang who killed him. The third "Crow" film,
"Salvation," is expected to open in early September.

'MATRIX' TOPS DVD SALES
More than 3 million DVD units of Warner Bros.' special
effects-laden blockbuster "The Matrix" have been sold to consumers
since the film's September release, making it the best-selling
title in the digital format's short history, according to Warner
Home Video.

THERON MOVES TO 'ALABAMA'
Charlize Theron has come aboard to star in and produce the romantic
comedy "Sweet Home Alabama" for the Walt Disney Co. and Original
Films. She also will star in Woody Allen's untitled fall project
for DreamWorks.

SCORSESE ON BOARD FOR 'RAIN'
Martin Scorsese has come on board as executive producer of "Rain,"
a drama starring Melora Walters ("Magnolia"). Walters will portray
a woman who kills her husband and has an affair with a young man
who turns out to be the son she gave up for adoption.

IN FINAL NEGOTIATIONS FOR 'PAGAN BABIES'
Danny DeVito's Jersey Films is in final negotiations to ink a
mid-six-figure deal with "Fight Club" scribe Jim Uhls to adapt
"Pagan Babies" from the novel by Elmore Leonard. "Pagan Babies"
revolves around Father Terry Dunn, a Rwandan missionary who had
fled the U.S. to avoid prison after police cracked his cigarette
smuggling scam.

THE REAL WORLD 10
The Bunim-Murray website reveals the producers are considering
Austin, Chicago, the Caribbean, Washington D.C., Harlem,
France, Australia, Vancouver, a farm or ranch, Orlando,
Toronto, and Las Vegas, NYC for the tenth, anniversary season
of "The Real World".

'X-FILES' CREW MEMBER KILLED
Disaster struck the set of "The X-Files" on Monday when six crew
members working at a location site in Los Angeles were almost
electrocuted and another was killed. The workers were setting up
scaffolding for a shot at the corner of Beverly Glen and Olympic
Boulevard when one of the metal pipes of a scaffold came into
contact with an overhead high-power line.

THOR SERIES?
I heard that Artisan Entertainment's first project for television
will be a live-action series based Marvel Comics' "Thor".

MADONNA WINS
Wednesday we reported that Modonna was recieving some flack about
her new upcoming video. Seems the flack has ended, on the part of
the music networks any way. MTV has backed down to the Material
Girl. The music network has decided not to fiddle with Madonna's
video for her new single, "Music", which debuts on MTV and VH1
today (4 pm/ET). Last week, word leaked out that MTV felt portions
of the video objectified the female dancers because their heads
were not shown while they danced. As a result, execs reportedly
considered digitally obscuring areas of the screen during several
parts of the video. "We're running it as everyone else is running
it," an MTV rep tells TV Guide Online. "There weren't any changes."

5. MOVIE REVIEW - DVD
================================================

HANGING UP - Meg Ryan, Diane Keaton, Lisa Kudrow, Walter Matthau
I absolutely love Meg Ryan and between VHS and DVD, I have
everything she's ever been in...this is the reason I bought this
DVD. The story is about a devoted daughter who is the only one in
the family looking out for her father who is dying. Meg plays the
daughter who keeps her other two sisters informed of their father's
failing health since they are off in different cities busy with
their own lives. Unfortunately, this movie could have been based
on my life at present, so this review is a bit different than
others I've done. So, let me just say this. Everyone else in the
world would really like this film, but it hurt me to watch it. I
honestly cried the entire time and I'll probably never see it
again. Anyway, I've talked to others who have seen it and they
liked it, so I know it's just me. The DVD is sweet though.
Features include: deleted scenes, documentary, gag reel, isolated
music score, bios, notes, menus, trailers, and a choice of
letterbox and standard formats.

CLUE - Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd,
Michael McKean, Martin Mull, and Lesley Ann Warren
This is one of my all-time favorite films which has just been
remastered and released on DVD. The film is a who-done-it in the
classic Clue boardgame style. The comic timing in this film is the
clincher for me. There are literally hundreds of little things
that can easily be missed in the foreground and backgrounds, but if
you catch even half of them, you'll laugh all the way through the
film. Kahn is brilliant in the movie and plays off of Curry with a
kind of perfection that anyone can appreciate. The DVD says it
features three different surprise endings, but anyone who has seen
the movie before knows that these endings were always there. The
best feature of the disc is the trailer which gives you just a hint
of the hilarity to come.

6. CELEBRITY PROFILE
==========
Will Smith
================================================
Birth Name: Willard Christopher Smith Jr.
Born: September 25, 1968 - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Will Smith was the second of four children of Caroline and Willard
Smith Sr., owner of a refrigeration company. He grew up in middle
class West Philadelphia and got the nickname 'Prince' because of
the way he could charm his way out of trouble. Pursuing music, he
met Jeff Townes at a party and they soon began performing together
as DJ.Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Smith received the first
ever grammy award for "Best Rap Performance" for the song "Parents
Just Don't Understand" in 1989 with his partner Jazzy Jeff. Smith
has won multiple grammy's and other music awards since the start of
his career. When the duo took off in popularity, Smith made, and
spent a lot of money on a house, cars and jewelry. But Smith was
looking for something new when, in 1989, he met Benny Medina, who
had an idea for a sitcom based on his life in Beverly Hills. Smith
loved the idea as did NBC which put on the 'The Fresh Prince of
Bel-Air'. The plot was simple - Will basically played himself; a
street-smart West Phily kid transplanted to Beverly Hills. The
series lasted 6 years. During that time, he ventured into movies
where the critics took note of him in Six Degrees of Separation.
With the success that came with the action picture Bad Boys, Will's
movie career was set. He became known as the King of the 4th of
July weekend with the box office releases of Independence Day and
Men in Black. I remember an interview he did where he said that he
just bullsh***d his way through Fresh Prince, but that he finally
decided to learn how to act when he became embarrassed that he
never knew his lines. Despite the type of character he played in
Prince, Smith turned down a scholarship to MIT to pursue a singing
career. Will met his wife Jada Pinkett when she tried out for the
role of his girlfriend on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". The role
eventually went to Nia Long.
