thief who blackmails another crook into one last heist. Edward
Norton, Robert De Niro, and Marlon Brando also star.

Clift for the Indie feature, "Monty", having passed up the role of
LeStat in Ann Rice's new Vampire screen adaptation.

Daniel Day-Lewis will end his 4-year hiatus from filmwork to join
Leo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz in the Scorsese epic, "Gangs Of New

THE HALLE BERRY VERDICT
Actress Halle Berry was fined $13,500 and placed on three years'
probation after pleading no contest to leaving the scene of an
accident. Superior Court Judge Charles Ruben also ordered Berry to
perform 200 hours of community service. Berry was driving a rented
sport utility vehicle that ran a red light and collided with
another car at a West Hollywood intersection on Feb. 23, then drove
off, police said.
<******SPOILER*****>
BLOCKBUSTER AWARD WINNERS
New Line Cinema's "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me," Buena
Vista's "The Sixth Sense" and Paramount's "Sleepy Hollow," were
each triple winners Tuesday night at the sixth annual Blockbuster
Entertainment Awards, which saw 64 winners picked by the video
chain's customers. The "Austin Powers" sequel won for favorite
soundtrack, while Mike Myers' turn as the film's Dr. Evil earned
him the favorite villain award, with his "Austin" co-star Heather
Graham named the night's favorite comedy actress. "The Sixth Sense"
saw Haley Joel Osment named favorite newcomer actor, while the
favorite supporting suspense actress award went to Toni Collette
and Bruce Willis was named favorite suspense actor. For Paramount's
"Sleepy Hollow," Johnny Depp was named favorite horror actor,
co-star Christina Ricci was named favorite horror actress and
Miranda Richardson won as favorite supporting horror actress. The
Shrine Auditorium in downtown Los Angeles hosted the awards, which
will be broadcast June 20 on Fox.
</SPOILER>
RICHARDS JOINS 'ADVICE'
Denise Richards will co-star with Charlie Sheen in the romantic
comedy "Goog Advice". Future Spin City star Sheen plays an
investment banker trying to rediscover what's important in life in
the Steve Rash film.
EASTWOOD BATTLING LAWSUIT
Clint Eastwood says he wasn't given enough time to comply with a
request to make his Mission Ranch Hotel more
handicapped-accessible. The actor and former mayor of this seaside
town is fighting a lawsuit filed three years ago by a hotel guest
who uses a wheelchair. The guest claims Eastwood didn't comply
quickly enough to her complaint that the parking lot and at least
one bathroom were in violation of the federal Americans With
Disabilities Act.
SIZEMORE IN 'TROUBLE'
Tom Sizemore is in negotiations to star in Disney's ensemble comedy
"Big Trouble," which is to be directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.
Production is slated to begin this summer in Miami. Sizemore is the
first to be cast in "Trouble," which is based on the best-selling
novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper columnist Dave Barry.
"Trouble" is about a suitcase in a Miami airport - containing a
nuclear device that's triggered to go off very soon - and how it
changes the lives of the people who come into contact with it.
YUNE, DIESEL JOIN 'REDLINE'
Rick Yune (Snow Falling on Cedars) and Vin Diesel (Boiler Room,
Pitch Black) will star opposite Paul Walker in the street racing
drama "Redline" directed by Rob Cohen.
SILVERMAN TO STAR IN 'MADE'
Jonathan Silverman (The Single Guy, Weekend at Bernie's) has joined
the cast of Jon Favreau's "Made". Vince Vaughn, Sean "Puffy" Combs,
and Famke Janssen also star.
FLORENCE POLITICIANS VS 'HANNIBAL'
Some local politicians object to filming part of "Hannibal" inside
a Florence landmark, saying the gory scene could hurt the city's
image. The eagerly awaited sequel to "Silence of the Lambs"
includes Hannibal Lecter committing a gruesome murder in the ornate
Salon of the Lilies in the Palazzo Vecchio. It's a partial
re-enactment of a slaying that took place in a different room of
the palace in 1478.
HAMILTON JOINS STAN LEE
Veteran actor George Hamilton said Wednesday he has joined the
executive ranks of Stan Lee Media, the Internet company founded by
comic book icon Stan Lee, co-creator of such properties as
Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk. Hamilton was appointed
president of global branded entertainment and will be responsible
for signing top Hollywood talent to develop projects and give voice
to animated characters.
WOODY ALLEN ON COLLEGE TOUR
Woody Allen, who has never been shy about his disdain for promotion
and publicity, is doing a four-city college tour to promote
DreamWorks' "Small Time Crooks," which opens May 19. The schools
include UCLA, NYU, University of Chicago, and Harvard.
JEAN RENO GETS THE 'BALL' ROLLING
Jean Reno is in final negotiations to star as the villain in MGM's
"Rollerball," which will be directed by John McTiernan. Reno, who
had starred for MGM in the thriller "Ronin," joins Chris Klein and
LL Cool J in the project, which goes before cameras in mid-July in
Montreal. "Rollerball" is an update of Norman Jewison's 1975 cult
classic about a futuristic society in which corporations have
replaced countries and a violent game known as Rollerball is the
main spectator sport for the world.

'MILLIONAIRE' CONTESTANT SUES
A former contestant on ABC's "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" is
suing the game show for $2 million, claiming a poorly worded
question lost him the chance to advance in the game. Robert
Gelbman, who appeared in the hotseat in August, claims a $32,000
question about the order of the signs of the Zodiac was ambiguously
worded. The 34-year-old Florida resident used his "50/50 lifeline"
to eliminate two of the four choices. "The problem is that the
question doesn't specify whether it's based on the Zodiac cycle or
the calendar year," Gelbman told the Associated Press. Gelbman, a
Mensa member and computer programmer, filed the suit in State
Superior Court in Manhattan on Wednesday. In related news,
contestants who've won at least $500,000 have been invited back for
a special "Champion" edition of the hit gameshow, set to air May
21st, 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Champions from the $250,000 level will
also compete in a telephone playoff game before the shows for a
chance at joining the fun, making sure there
is never an empty seat in the fastest-finger round. The game will
be similar to the regular edition of the show, except half the
prize money will be donated to the charity of the contestant's
choice.
NOAH WYLE TIES THE KNOT
Noah Wyle, star of NBC's "ER," was married to makeup artist Tracy
Warbin on Saturday in California. The couple met four years ago on
the set of the film "Myth of Fingerprints," according to People
magazine.

Late Night with Conan O'Brien on May 26th.

Lohan (The Parent Trap) have signed on to star in Bette Midler's
new CBS sitcom, "Bette".

sitcom, "Don't Ask".

TV," may have more hosting duties ahead of him. According to the
New York Post, the plan is for Rashad to host "Real TV" for a time,
before moving to "Entertainment Tonight."
